Welcome! I am a Ph.D. candidate in comparative politics at MIT. My research focuses on the political economy of development in West Africa. In my dissertation, I examine strategies to improve citizen trust and cooperation with the police in countries with weak rule of law. I am also active in research to inform humanitarian policy and response. My research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the International Growth Centre, and the Folke Bernadotte Academy.

Prior to MIT, I worked for Innovations for Poverty Action in New York, Mexico, and Liberia, and as consultant for the Norwegian Refugee Council in Liberia. I hold a B.A. in Government from Colby College, and am a recipient of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.
